Andrea Matthews 
Clinical Specialist (Occupational Therapy)

Andrea has a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Occupational Therapy, and post-graduate training in Sensory Integration to Advanced Practitioner level. She has worked in the field of healthcare since 2000. She has held a range of roles, including company director, support worker, service manager, clinical auditor, assistant psychologist and occupational therapist.

She works as an occupational therapist in independent practice and is a Director of Creative Occupational Therapy Solutions Ltd and Creative Physiotherapy Ltd. She supervises occupational therapists within her own team and from other organisations, including mentoring therapists who are completing training in sensory integration.

Her work is varied, including working with adults and children with brain injury, neurodivergence, mental health and sensory needs. She works as a consultant for the NHS and schools and has supported professional athletes to understand their sensory and emotional needs to maximise performance.

She is passionate about building positive workplace cultures and has direct experience of creating this within her own companies.
